Young Adult Ministry

Mission

Our mission is to foster a growing community where young adults (ages 18-49) are encouraged to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, share our faith, build meaningful relationships and use our gifts and talents to serve and make a positive impact in the world and church.

"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever."
2 Peter 3: 18 (NIV)

Goals

The Young Adult Ministry (YAM) Leadership Team is committed to keeping young adults connected through fellowship, prayer, service, and the study of God’s Word. These pillars are essential to the growth of the ministry and the church. Over the years, YAM has actively served the Harlem community through mission projects and has led dynamic worship experiences during Young Adult Sundays, Family Sundays, and the annual “God Did It” Pre-Watch Night service.

Spiritual Growth

Provide and help young adults with consistent opportunities to deepen their relationship with Christ through Bible study, Scripture, Prayer, and Discipleship.

Biblical Engagement

Encourage regular study and application of God’s Word in personal and group settings.

Christian Fellowship

Foster authentic communities where young adults can build lasting relationships rooted in faith, while also building a safe and welcoming community for all young adults.

Leadership Development

Identify, train and equip young adults to serve in the church whether they are on the Pulpit or in a Pew.

Evangelism & Outreach

Empower young adults to share their faith and serve others through mission and outreach activities, events, and workshops in the church and in the community.

Uplifting

Equip young adults to address and navigate life issues such as their career, relationships, finances and personal decisions/choices/dilemmas with a biblical worldview.

Church Integration

Connect young adults with the broader church body through
intergenerational worship, mentorship, and service.
