The church collects information from its members who make online donations. The online information that we collect includes name, address, city, state, zip, telephone number, e-mail address, and, in the case of online giving, credit card number and expiration date.  In order to constantly improve our communication service to you in the future, we may also ask you to provide us with additional information regarding your demographics, comments, professional interests, and contact preferences.

How is the information used? 
The Convent Avenue Baptist Church uses your information to provide you with better service, complete a transaction, record your contribution, and issue you a statement of your contribution for income tax purposes.  We may use this information to update you on ministry related activities or projects.  The church may contact you via surveys to get your opinion about church related services, activities, and any potential new activity that may be offered.  All credit card numbers are used only for donation or payment processing, are not retained for any other purposes, and do not form part of permanent church records.

The Convent Avenue Baptist Church never engages in selling, renting, leasing, exchanging or sharing your personal information with any other group or organization.  The Convent Avenue Baptist Church assures you that the identity of all who contact us and use our website will be kept strictly confidential.  The use of a member’s personal information will be limited or restricted to the internal purposes of Convent Avenue Baptist Church and to further the ministry activities and purposes of Convent Avenue Baptist Church.

Convent Avenue Baptist Church is committed and dedicated to ensuring the security of your personal information.  Our security measures seek to prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and integrity, as well as ensure the information is used for the purpose intended.  In order to certify proper use of information, we have established and implemented appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. The Church uses CyberSource when collecting or transferring sensitive data such as credit card information.  When giving online you will be transferred away from Conventchurch.org to the CyberSource website.  Any and all information you enter is encrypted at your browser on the website and is protected by a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. Users are encouraged to read the CyberSource policy regarding your transaction.  The Convent Avenue Baptist Church does not have access to anyone’s credit card information.

Use of Cookies
The Convent Avenue Baptist Church Website uses “Cookies” to assist with the personalizing of your online experience and to keep the user logged in from page to page while using the donation system.  Cookies cannot be used to execute / run programs or deliver viruses to your computer.
