Who We Are
As the Lord continues to significantly increase the
number of persons aged 18- 49 joining the Convent Avenue
Baptist Church, we aim to incorporate these young people
into the active life of the body of Christ by educating
them in Biblical principles. We aim to motivate them
to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior
and to have a sincere and personal desire to walk in
obedience with him.

We believe in the importance of providing opportunities
to fellowship with one another in an effort to develop
a stronger relationship with God through service and
activities that deal with issues common to the young
adult population.
With the Grace of God, we accomplish these goals through:
- Dedicated Prayer Sessions - we meet 3rd Fridays
monthly in the prayer room
- Thirsty Thursdays (Young Adult Bible Study)
- we meet 1st Thursdays monthly
- Worship - Young Adult focused services -
YA Revival, YA Sunday, God Did It and YA Retreats
- Fellowship - Topical workshops - Married
Couples and Singles Workshop, Economic Empowerment,
Faith, etc. and Social activities - Bowling, Tastings,
Plays, Dining, Movies, Intergenerational gatherings,
Iron Sharpens Iron, etc.
- Missions - local and international
- Outreach - New York Cares, Junior Achievement,
NAACP, Walk for Lupus, American Cancer Society, etc.
- Counseling - open ended
Mission
We endeavor to build up faithful and biblically equipped
young adults, who transform the direction of our communities
as a result of studying the Word and seeking Gods face.
We seek to effectively minister to the holistic needs
of Convent members to the glory of God while teaching
Young Adults how to live lives that are totally submitted
to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and empowered by the
Holy Spirit.
